The DS just has a happy connotation to it because of all the positive things I've associated it with over the years. My original DS was pink with a matching stylus. Nintendo Pictochat was my first texting application. My sister and I would send eachother nonsence and little doodles. It would give us a good laugh and kept entertained for longer than most would guess. I would have this system on me for every car trip, it didn't matter how long the duration. Eventually the stylus got lost and the DS broke down. The next original I remember having was probably my mothers. It had a black body and a blue top. I borrowed it and she eventually have it to me. I believe I had most of the future renditions, so years and years of portable fun.
