Pink Razor Scooter
The OG form of transportation. Bike riding wasn't for me. I got on a bike, I fell off. And then was too scared to get back on. I didn't learn until I was 17. So...the Razor scooter was my best friend. I specifically had the pink one. It has pink handle bars, pink wheels, and pink oval grip tape on the deck. There was a windy trail infront if my childhood apartment they I would make use of. It was the simplest thing but it made me so happy. But there must be balance in life. The deck if the scooter was metal and had dull blades on the sides. Sometimes you get on and go to fast so your fight or flight kicks in. I often chose flight so I would jump off and the scooter would hit me directly in the ankle. I also have a vivid memory of riding on the sidewalk (very slowly) by my dad's apartment in Brooklyn. I fell off and both of my knees were horribly cut up. I had to walk up stairs to get back into his house while I bled and it hurt to bad. I can confidently say most of my pain tolerance came from this time in my life.
